PROGRAMS

The University offers Certificate, Undergraduate (residential and non-residential) and Postgraduate and programmes. The Postgraduate programme, Master of Theology (M.Th.), is offered in partnership with the South African Theological Seminary (SATS). While the Ministry Studies programmes are designed specifically for women in ministry.

SCHOOL OF THEOLOGY

Bachelor of Theology

The four year Bachelor of Theology programme is a 180 Credit hours programme. It is designed to provide theological education Courses for learners who anticipate entering full-time Christian service as; local church pastors, Christian education workers, denominational leaders, para-church workers, Chaplains and missionaries.

Diploma of Theology

The three year Diploma of Theology programme is a 135 Credit hours programme. It is designed to provide theological education courses for learners who anticipate entering full-time Christian service as; local church pastors, Christian education workers, denominational leaders, para-church workers, Chaplains and missionaries.

Bachelor of Theology with Education

The four year Bachelor of Theology with Education for Secondary School Teachers programme, is a 180 Credit hours programme. It is designed to provide theological education courses for learners who anticipate entering full-time Christian service serving as; Religious Education teachers, local church pastors, Christian education workers, Chaplains and missionaries.

Diploma of Theology with Education

The three year Diploma of Theology with Education for Secondary School Teachers programme, is a 135 Credit hours programme. The programme seeks to prepare students for pastoral ministry and leadership within the church and Para-church organisations and for teaching at Secondary School level in Religious Education.

Bachelor of Education in Primary School Teaching

The 180 Credit hour programme aims to prepare Primary School Teachers who upon completion will be able to effectively handle both Lower and Upper primary learners.

OPEN AND DISTANCE LEARNING (ODL)

Bachelor of Primary Teacher Education

The four year Bachelor of Primary School Teacher Education is to provide primary school teacher education courses for learners who upon completion will teach in public and private primary level learning institutions. This programme employs a variety of methods to make the delivery of the programme effective. The programme seeks to provide education that is relevant, credible, in line with the Zambian Ministry of Education (MoF) curriculum, adds value, and is transformative in nature. As Evangelical University we are deliberately responding to the Zambian Ministry of Education (MoF) requirements for all primary teachers to improve their qualifications from diploma to degrees.

Ministry Studies – Institute for Women in Ministry

The Institute for Women in Ministry is designed to equip women for ministry. The women will gain confidence and skills to minister as they lead with grace and effectiveness. It will help the women to realise their own gifts as they prepare to be servant leaders in their homes, churches or communities. The school year for the Institute for Women in Ministry begins in June and runs through April of the following year.

Bachelor of Theology and Education

The Degree in Theology and Education combines theology and education courses. The programme takes a 50% /50% approach. Translating into, 50% theological courses and 50% education courses. This is a four year programme and it takes place during term breaks; April, August and December according to the Zambian school calendar. The school year for the ODL begins in April and runs through April of the following year.

Advanced Certificate in Ministry Studies

The two year Advanced Certificate in Ministry Studies programme is a 72 Credit hours programme. The sessions take place on bi-monthly basis during the Zambian school year Calendar.

Diploma in Ministry Studies

The three year Diploma in Ministry studies programme is a 135 Credit hours programme. The sessions take place on a bi-monthly basis during the Zambian school year Calendar as well as during school term breaks.
