Financial Aid
Financial aid helps students and their families pay for college. It can cover a range of educational expenses, like tuition and fees, room and board, books and supplies, and transportation.
Merit Scholarship
The EU Merit Scholarship is granted at entry point to the student scoring the highest points at Grade 12. It covers 75% on fees, excluding ration. It is available to the Undergraduate Residential programmes only. The scholarship lies in the domain of the Academic office, it cannot be applied for.
Purpose
- To encourage intellectual competence and Christian scholarship
- To provide financial aid to the recipient.
Criteria
- At entry point in the first year.
- To the student scoring the highest points at Grade 12 level (O levels) in that particular intake.
- To students in any of the disciplines i.e. Theology, Education (Secondary and Primary), or Missions and Developmental studies.
Recipient’s responsibilities
- is required to maintain a minimum overall GPA of 70 (B+).
- must exhibit Christian maturity and a sense of God’s direction in their lives.
- must remain in fellowship with their Church as is stipulated in the Graduation requirements.
25% Work Scholarship
The EU 25% Work Scholarship is granted at the discretion of the University’s Financial Committee. The scholarship covers the tuition fee only and the amount given is determined by the need at hand. Students are required to apply for the scholarship.
Purpose
- Ensure that the needy student is not excluded from continuing their studies due to lack of funding.
- Encourage responsibility and ownership in the recipient by working for the funding.
Criteria
- To needy students at any point of study in any year.
- To students in any of the disciplines i.e. Theology, Education (Secondary and Primary), or Missions and Developmental studies.
Recipient’s responsibilities
- Academic performance must be above par.
- Is required to work for it by doing manual work on Campus.
- Must exhibit Christian maturity and a sense of God’s direction in their lives.
- Must remain in fellowship with their Church as is stipulated in the EU Graduation requirements.
Pastor’s Spouse Scholarship
The scholarship is granted at entry point to a practicing Pastor/Minister’s spouse. The scholarship covers 50% of the tuition fee only and is given once in a year. Students must apply for the scholarship.
Purpose
The purpose of the Pastor’s Spouse Scholarship is to provide financial aid to the recipient.
Criteria
- A Pastors’ wife; the pastor must be involved in active ministry and not retired.
- A student enrolled in any of the disciplines i.e. Theology, Education (Secondary and Primary), Missions and Developmental studies or School for Women in Ministry.
Recipient’s responsibilities
- Is required to maintain a minimum GPA of 60%.
- Must exhibit Christian maturity and a sense of God’s direction in their lives.
- Remain in fellowship with your Church as is stipulated in the Graduation requirements.
Pastor’s Child Scholarship
The Pastor’s Child scholarship is granted at entry point to a practicing pastor/minister’s child. The scholarship covers 50% of the tuition fee only. Students must apply for the scholarship.
Purpose
- To encourage scholarship in Pastors’ children and
- To provide financial aid to the recipient
Criteria
The Pastor’s Child Scholarship is awarded to:
- Pastors’ Children only, whose parent must be involved in active ministry NOT It is not available to dependents of the Pastor.
- A student enrolled in any of the disciplines i.e. Theology, Education (Secondary and Primary), or Missions and Developmental studies.

- Maintain a minimum overall GPA of 65 %.
- Exhibit Christian maturity and a sense of God’s direction in your life.
- Remain in fellowship with your Church as is stipulated in the Graduation requirements.
